Some conditions of this insurance are

  • The private medical insurance must be purchased from a Canadian insurance company. Proof of purchase is required with the application.
  • Must provide a minimum of CAD $100,000 coverage to cover emergency medical costs
  • Should cover the applicant for health care, hospitalization and repatriation
  • Must be valid for 365 days from the date of entry
  • Must be valid for each entry to Canada and available for review by the border services officer upon request.
  • Must be paid in full. (Quotes and instalment premiums are not accepted).

What does it cover?

Super visa insurance covers any unexpected emergency medical costs (accident, sickness, hospitalization, repatriation, cremation/burial, etc.) if these happen while the super visa holder is present in Canada and the policy is active. This insurance also covers side trips outside of Canada (USA, Mexico, etc.) with some limitations and it may or may not cover pre-existing conditions depending upon the plan and the insurance company chosen by you.
